Day 7-10: Seattle!

Seattle was awesome! To our surprise, and everyone else’s, it didn’t rain once! We had clear blue skies throughout our entire stay. We arrived on Thursday morning at around 6 AM (we drove through the night from Lava Springs) and visited the original Starbucks coffee shop. I love coffee and was so excited to get a cup from THE Starbucks. We then visited Pike Place Market. It is a huge farmers market that has vendors selling everythingfrom fresh fish to beautiful flower bouquets to jewelry. The seafood vendors were incredible…everything was so fresh and there was so much variety! For dinner that night we ate at The Crab Pot. The waiter gave us a mallet, a chopping board, and a small fork. He then poured steamed crab, shrimp, mussels, and clams on our table and told us to have fun. The food was delicious. We also took a cruise around Elliot Bay (for half price!!!) and learned tons of interesting facts about Seattle. Today was our last full day and we celebrated the 4th at the Chase Family 4th festival. The fireworks were absolutely incredible. Tomorrow we are headed to the San Juan Islands to see Orcas! Look out Free Willy...here we come!!!
